Select Coaching Staff 

Girls Program 

U13 Girls

Jessie King:  Jessie is in her fourth year at Dacula Soccer Club. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and teaches Biology at Mill Creek High School. Jessie is also in her fourth year as an assistant girls varsity coach at Mill Creek. As a player Jessie spent time in the Olympic Development Program in Michigan and later in Georgia. She played Club Soccer at West Gwinnett (AUSA) and Brookwood, both Athena ‘A’ teams. In addition to her club career Jessie captained the North Gwinnett High School team and helped lead them to the State playoffs four straight years culminating in a Final Four appearance. Throughout her career Jessie has earned Gwinnett Goal Club All-County honors, region 8-AAA All-region player, and All American Scholar Athlete. Jessie holds her USSF D license.

Tracy Valentino: Tracy is in her fourth year at DSC.  She played her HS soccer locally at Collins Hill. Tracy received a scholarship to attend North Georgia College and State University where she played for four years. While attending NGSCU Tracy was a staff coach at several of their summer soccer camps.  In addition, she coached an under-10 team for two seasons while in college.  Tracy currently teaches at Dacula High School where she serves as the head varsity girls soccer coach. Tracy is a grade 7 referee, and in her ninth year of officiating.  She was awarded the Georgia Youth Referee of the Year in 1999.  Tracy holds her USSF D license.

U14 Girls

Brian Travis:  Brian a Florida native enters into his second year at DSC.  He currently serves as the assistant principal at Flat Shoals Elementary School in Rockdale County.  He received his undergraduate degree from Belhaven College in Computer Science, his Masters Degree from The University of Georgia in Business Education and his second Masters in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University.  He played at Belhaven College as a goalkeeper for three
years where he appeared in three straight Men's NAIA National Championships, winning the title in 1992.  He continued playing semi-professionally for the Jackson Chargers in the USISL for two years.  He has several years of coaching experience at the collegiate level at Milsapps College, Mercer University, and Georgia State University.  He also served as an ODP Staff Coach for Mississippi and Georgia for 4 years and 9 years respectively.  Brian has his NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and USSF C License.

Daniel Thernize: Daniel will be in his third year with Dacula Soccer Club. He played his college ball at Hunter College in New York State where he was named a member of the All-Metropolitan team in 1982-1984. Daniel continued his playing career both in the United States and abroad and still plays adult soccer in the Atlanta area. He has been coaching in the Atlanta area for 10 years with both boys and girls teams. His experience coaching many age groups and different genders will be an asset to DSC. Daniel holds his USSF B license.

U15 Girls  

Mike Herrin: Mike is originally from South Carolina where he attended Battery Creek High School. He will be in his first season with Dacula Soccer Club. Mike is currently teaching at Chestatee High School where he also serves as the Head
Boys Soccer coach. Prior to going to Chestatee Mike coached at Westover High School. Mike holds his NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and his NSCAA Goalkeeping level I and level II Diplomas.

Jeff Becker: Jeff is in his second year at DSC.  He played four years of soccer at Briarwood High School in Birmingham, AL.  Jeff played his freshmen and sophomore year at Berry College.  He graduated from Berry with a BA in English.  In 2005, he earned his M.Ed in English Education from UGA.  Jeff currently teaches Language Arts at Brookwood High School where he is the JV Boys head coach and the Varsity assistant coach.  Jeff also held those same coaching positions at South Gwinnett High School for the past two years.  Jeff has his USFF C Licence.

 U13 Boys

Daniel Thernize: Daniel will be in his third year with Dacula Soccer Club. Jimmy Carrion:  Jimmy will be in his sixth year with Dacula Soccer Club.  Jimmy had 4 successful years as a coach for the DSC rec program before moving to the select side.

U15 Boys

Drew Prentice: Drew is in his second year coaching at DSC.  While in school, he played at Young Harris College where he was a captain his sophomore year.  He then transferred to North Georgia College and State University where he was a
contributing member to the most successful men's soccer team in the school's history.  His junior year the team competed in the NAIA SSAC conference and his senior year in the NCAA Div. II Peachbelt Conference. While still in college, Drew was an assistant coach at North Gwinnett High School. Upon graduation Drew took a job at North Gwinnett where he currently coaches the JV Boys and assistants both Varsity programs. Drew holds his USSF C License.

David Johnson:  David will be in his first year with the DSC Select Program.  He has coached in our rec program for 2 years.  While playing, David was a member of the state ODP team from U13-U17.  David played college soccer at Emory where he was a 4 year letterman and two time all conference selection.  David is a former men's asst coach at Emory University.

U17 Boys

Francois Joisil:  Francois will be in his first year with Dacula Soccer Club.  Francois will be moving over from the DSC rec program.  Francois played college soccer at New Jersey State for three years and also served as their asst coach for two years.  He was a member of the Sport Club Portuguese that won three consecutive championships in the Northern Champions League.  Francois holds his USFF C License.

U19 Boys

Brian Travis:  Brian is in his first year at DSC.  Brian is currently the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Rockdale High School.  Brian played collegiate soccer for Belhaven College which included being a member of the 1992 NAIA national championship team.  Brian has served as an assistant coach for Milsapps College and GA State University.  Brian holds his NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and USSF National C License.
